The below set of critical policies are required to be reviewed by any new team member upon joining the group, and reviewed regularly to ensure compliance:
- Use of test machines - isolated test machines are clean and allow installation of any software - the use of any applications, plugins or extensions on Cognizant Blueprint machines requires approval from the IT department
- USB access - by default the USB ports are disabled on Cognizant Blueprint machines - they can be unblocked as exceptions to allow the use of Mobile test devices
- Open Source - the use of Open Source software is allowed only with specific approval from the client, and as allowed by the Cognizant IT group
- Test accounts / licenses - all team members are responsible for:
- Taking reasonable steps to protect account credentials from unauthorized use and disclosure
- Not sharing such account credentials to any third parties (including colleagues who do not have a real need to use the account credentials
- Using the accounts during work hours only as (and only for so long as) required for purposes of testing
